Our client is a growing, high-volume food manufacturer based out of Indianapolis, IN. Our client works with their customers to create new products and production lines to ensure a superior quality system.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for management of quality manufacturing operations and staff, ensuring appropriate policies, procedures and all quality activities are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to facilitate Food Safety meetings with key stakeholders & lead GFSI audit.
• Audit documents on a scheduled frequency to ensure record-keeping procedures and followed consistently
• Consistently review batch record and all manufacturing related documents to ensure compliance.
• Provide Follow up on all quality programs including GMPs, Good Hygiene Practices, HACCP, Allergen Control, Clean and Sanitation
• Ensure good performance of direct reports (quality technicians/auditors) by mentoring, training, performing evaluations and providing accountability.
• Participate in all regulatory, third party and customer audits and inspections. Provide corrective action response.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field, preferred
• 5 years direct experience and working knowledge of a high volume food manufacturing facility
• Certification in Quality Management (ASQ, Certified Manager of Quality)
• Sanitize in accordance with SOP’s, HACCP, SQF, GMP, EPA, and OSHA requirements and product specifications
• Solid understanding of quality testing procedures in the food and beverage industry including analytical, microbiological and sensory evaluation
