Project Manager - Civil
Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in Commercial & Industrial construction.
We are working with a large civil contractor in the Irwin, PA area that has an immediate need for a Civil Project Manager. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager working with Heavy Highway, Ground stabilization, Excavation, and Structural concrete We are recruiting for highly motivated and energetic individuals.
Our client focuses on projects in the area so little travel is required. They are a very well established union contractor that has a huge backlog of projects for the next few years. They are a well-managed company that supports their employees
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects.
- Assist in the Business Development role.
- Assist on the Design for new Design / Build projects.
- Prepare and manage schedules.
- Estimate Change orders.
- Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs.
- Manages project budget and approves all expenses.
- Contract Administration.
- Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment.
- Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
- Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents.
- Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors.
- Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work.
Job Requirements
- Solid Communication both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish timelines and budgets.
- Experience in cost estimation and negotiating.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings.
- Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must.
- Experience: 5 years experience as a Project Manager with a Civil Contractor focused on large Civil Projects with PennDot and/or PA Turnpike experience
- A four year degree is required - Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- Willing travel to regionally periodically
