Plant Manager – Chemicals Manufacturing (Southeastern Texas)
We are looking for a highly motivated Plant Manager to support a key Chemicals Manufacturing facility in Southeastern Texas. As part of a large, multi-billion-dollar global organization, you’ll report to the Director of Manufacturing. You’ll lead a diverse team in delivering safe, reliable plant performance and high-quality products. Role Overview:
As the Plant Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and driving efficiency and excellence in every area. You'll lead a team of up to 75 employees and about 30 contractors, fostering a culture of achievement and collaboration. This role is crucial in building a strong, motivated team that reaches its full potential while ensuring the efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Site Management: Establish and maintain high expectations for safety, quality, and performance in a continuous manufacturing operation. You’ll create a results-driven culture that meets key milestones and operational goals.
· Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal EHS regulations. Oversee safety processes, including permit to work, LOTO, working at heights, process safety, and mechanical integrity.
· Talent Development: Work closely with HR to attract top talent, provide ongoing training, and create opportunities for career advancement.
· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement site strategies to achieve long-term business and company objectives.
· Budget Management: Manage the annual budget, including indirect costs, with a typical range of $40-45 million. Oversee CAPEX spending of $5-8 million and ensure cost-efficient turnarounds every two years.
· Third-Party Relationships: Manage relationships with key partners, ensuring contract compliance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
· 8+ years of experience in the chemical or petroleum industry.
· Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams and foster a culture of excellence.
· Proficiency in Process Safety Management and experience with operational budgets.
