Job Title: Logistic Manager
Location: Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area
Company Overview:
The company is a leading design, manufacturing, and supply of Passenger Entry Systems for Passenger Rail Transit, Bus, and Automotive. They are committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional customer service to there clients across North America and Canada. As part of our expansion strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistic Manager to lead initiatives and drive growth in this key segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain/Inventory:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
⦁ Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
⦁ Oversee inventory receiving departments and procedures
⦁ Control warehouse department budgets.
⦁ Develop and implement inventory management instructions, policies, and procedures.
⦁ Control all obsolete equipment and disposal.
⦁ Responsible for inventory devaluation working with sales to reduce scrap expense.
⦁ Work with production on scheduling of travelers pulled and issued to production based on customer requirements
⦁ Responsible for year-end inventory, forms, and reports for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
⦁ Other duties as assigned.
Shipping:
⦁ Oversea the shipping department to ensure that finished products are shipped as required.
⦁ Create and maintain work instructions for all shipping processes.
⦁ Supervise, coach and train shipping workforce.
⦁ Meet cost, productivity and accuracy and timeliness targets.
⦁ Maintain performance and implement improvements.
⦁ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
⦁ Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
⦁ Strong combination of analytical and interpersonal skills.
⦁ Respond promptly to department needs for supplies or parts.
⦁ Respond to all inquiries and meet commitments.
⦁ Must have a strong background in Excel
⦁ Oral and written communications must be excellent.
Physical/Medical Requirements
⦁ Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
