Production Engineer – Rensselaer, IN
Our growing manufacturing client, located in Rensselaer, IN is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Production Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Engineering drawings using Solidworks and Autocad.
- Manage and optimize production processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment, processes, or product quality.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth transition of new products into production.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Utilize data analysis tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions for process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to production processes.
Production Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and quality control.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and data analysis tools is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
