The E&S Broker is responsible for developing, managing, and sustaining profitable business. The role is responsible for building strong business relationships with the retail brokers and agencies assisting them in writing complex P&C wholesale business for their clients.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with retail brokers and agencies to craft a strategic market placement for commercial accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Understand the wholesale commercial insurance coverages, evaluate submissions from retail insurance brokers, and identify exposures and coverage required.
- Partner with retail brokers and agencies regarding risk exposures and coverage needs from broker submissions, exercising independent judgment and discretion to strategically place risks with optimal carriers.
- Determine suitable insurance markets for quote requests, secure quotes, and manage the placement process according to broker and market agreements.
- Analyze and negotiate optimal quote terms for coverage and pricing and explain quote details to brokers to facilitate binding decisions.
- Establish revenue targets and growth of personal book of business through strategic sales targets.
- Partner with retail agencies and brokerage, acting as a key liaison between insurance markets and retail brokers and addressing their needs.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wholesale brokerage, commercial insurance coverages, sales, or underwriting.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required — Business Administration, Sales, or Risk Management.
