The ability to accurately forecast renewable energy production and electricity demand is a huge challenge for many utilities, IPPs, developers, and other market participants.
Our client is a global leader in renewable energy hardware and software that monitors and optimizes solar and energy storage project system performance utilizing AI and machine learning technology to autonomously forecast electricity generation and consumption for individual endpoints or aggregated energy portfolios, catering to utilities, IPPs, and grid planners.
We are leading the search for their next Business Development Manager who will spearhead the sales efforts for this innovative forecasting product. You will target IPPs, Developers, grid operators, and utilities to optimize the financial performance of their renewable energy assets.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5+ years of software sales experience to renewable energy or utility customers (SaaS/Cloud).
- Demonstrated ability to secure complex software deals with senior decision-makers and a proven track record of success in selling to energy players.
- Strong sales acumen with a passion for closing deals, coupled with deep knowledge of evolving energy markets.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 DOE + commission
