Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients’ orthotic needs, considering their medical history, lifestyle, and individual requirements. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather relevant medical information.
- Design and Fabrication: Design and fabricate customized orthotic devices tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy and functional goals.
- Patient Fitting: Precisely fit orthotic devices to patients, ensuring comfort, functionality, and alignment. Make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their orthotic devices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Collaboration: Work with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthotics to provide the best possible care to patients.
Qualifications:
- ABC Certified in Orthotics and able to obtain Kentucky Licensure.
- Proven experience in orthotic assessment, design, and fabrication.
