Role Overview
As a Distribution Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations in a fast-paced distribution center, ensuring seamless product flow and delivery. This role requires strong leadership, organizational expertise, and a proactive approach to optimize warehouse performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse staff; assign schedules, provide constructive feedback, and resolve conflicts.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise inbound/outbound shipments, inventory control, and warehouse layout while adhering to safety standards.
- Logistics Coordination: Work with carriers to resolve shipping challenges and improve delivery efficiency.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs, analyze data for continuous improvement, and report on distribution center metrics.
- Quality Control: Ensure proper product handling, conduct quality checks, and implement control measures.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-3 years in warehouse or distribution management.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making expertise.
- Preferred: Forklift certification and experience in fast-paced environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
