They are seeking a Civil Engineer to lead project engineering efforts, oversee third-party civil firms, and provide expert testimony at public hearings. This is a critical role for an experienced engineering professional who is passionate about renewable energy and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Collaborate: Work with permitters, project managers, and developers to drive intelligent and practical project designs.
- Manage Civil Engineering Efforts: Oversee third-party civil engineering firms, ensuring designs meet all financial, real estate, permitting, and interconnection requirements.
- Provide Expert Testimony: Represent the company as a civil engineering expert at public hearings across Pennsylvania.
- Innovate Solutions: Develop grading plans, pile-height analysis, and stormwater management strategies, working with consultants to finalize construction drawings.
- Mentor & Grow: Support the development of solar energy professionals by fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Drive Project Success: Ensure project plans are developed to the highest standards and support permit approval processes by attending public meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; EIT or PE highly preferred.
- Experience in solar PV, civil engineering, project management, or construction management.
- Strong understanding of grading, stormwater management, and site development for renewable energy projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address engineering challenges.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the company at public hearings.
- Willingness to travel across Pennsylvania as required for public meetings and site evaluations.
Salary Range: $80,000-120,000 + bonus
