Special Projects Team Manager- Services

Job Overview:

The intent of this role is to find a mechanically minded and process driven leader that shares our same passion of core values; safety, client focused, honest and professional. The Special Projects Team Manager will understand the critical nature of working for a top mechanical service provider in Central Indiana and will lead to expand our service project team through short term and long-term goals and responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Lead and supervise a team of service project managers, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Design and implement project management processes and procedures to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
3. Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
4. Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track.
5. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to coordinate project activities and address any conflicts or discrepancies.
6. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
7. Prepare and present project status reports, budget forecasts, and other relevant documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
8. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the project management team, promoting open communication and teamwork.
9. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in construction management, and integrate them into project planning and execution.
10. Serve as a liaison between the service project management team and other departments ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience (5+ years) in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing a team of project managers or construction professionals.
2. Field experience in HVAC, plumbing or pipefitting.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
5. Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Procore, and Microsoft Office.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management.
8. Willingness to travel to local project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
