Special Projects Team Manager- Services
Job Overview:

The Special Projects Team Manager will understand the critical nature of working for a top mechanical service provider in Central Indiana and will lead to expand our service project team through short term and long-term goals and responsibilities.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead and supervise a team of service project managers, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful project delivery.
- Design and implement project management processes and procedures to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to coordinate project activities and address any conflicts or discrepancies.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Prepare and present project status reports, budget forecasts, and other relevant documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the project management team, promoting open communication and teamwork.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in construction management, and integrate them into project planning and execution.
- Serve as a liaison between the service project management team and other departments ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience (5+ years) in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing a team of project managers or construction professionals.
- Field experience in HVAC, plumbing or pipefitting.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Procore, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management.
- Willingness to travel to local project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
