Their mission is to simplify and scale microgrid deployment, providing resilient, reliable, and cost-effective renewable energy solutions.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and scaling this next-generation microgrid solution. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, power electronics, and renewable energy integration. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless hardware and software integration while optimizing system performance for real-world deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems integrating solar PV, battery storage, and control software to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct detailed technical reviews and independent assessments of solar PV and BESS electrical engineering designs, construction documentation, and system performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on electrical engineering design reviews, project assessments, and construction monitoring.
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and project management teams, to drive product development and deployment.
- Participate in internal and external project meetings with key stakeholders, ensuring technical alignment and project success.
- Develop and implement best practices for scalable microgrid design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Requirements:
- 2+ years of electrical engineering design experience, specifically in one or more of the following: building electrical systems, solar PV design, and/or energy storage systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- PE License or EIT certification required or in progress.
- Strong understanding of power electronics, energy storage systems, and renewable energy markets.
- Hands-on experience with electrical system modeling, load flow analysis, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes and industry standards.
Salary Range: $120,000–$180,000 DOE
