The Director of Business Development is responsible for establishing and directing the business development and account management activities of the Signal Transformer organization. This key staff member contributes to the strategic planning and execution of the business for the corporation. Job Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Leadership for all aspects of account management and business development activities including direct coordination with Operational and Quality Leadership focused on delivering required performance and account growth • New business and market development • Mentor and lead Magnetics Sales, Product, and Program Managers • Analyze market conditions; formulate, recommend, and implement strategies to optimize market position • Contract negotiations and management • Develop and maintain effective rapport with sales representatives, distributors, and other marketing personnel to ensure proper field communications regarding the product line • Monitor existing and recommend potential sales channels and distribution alternatives to maximize availability and penetration • Develop market share and profitability goals by working with engineering development and sales management to determine and attain such goals • Provide leadership and coordination in support of product line development by interfacing with all functional areas impacting product line performance • Achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals and objectives • Travel as needed both domestic and international, up to 50% • Ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks under minimal supervision. Work with confidential employee information and maintain absolute privacy • Assist other members of the Sales/Marketing Department as needed. Complete special projects as assigned
