Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, design, and fit custom prosthetic and orthotic devices tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal care plans.
- Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring proper device functionality and comfort.
- Educate patients and their families on the use, care, and maintenance of prosthetic/orthotic devices.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Stay current with advancements in prosthetics and orthotics to continuously improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) or Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC).
- Eligible for state license in Arkansas
- For Residents: Enrollment in or completion of an NCOPE-accredited residency program.
- For Assistants: Prior experience in a prosthetic/orthotic setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
