Asset & Liability Manager
Christian Wyatt Group is partnering exclusively with a Super Community Bank in the Mid-Atlantic that is a cornerstone of the Virginia banking scene, and they’re seeking an Asset & Liability Manager to anchor their balance sheet strategies from their Corporate Office. Our firm specializes in connecting top banking talent nationwide. This particular client has our respect—a community-focused institution with a knack for steady growth and sharp execution. Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, you’ll be a linchpin in their treasury department, shaping overall asset-liability management strategies to keep the bank on solid ground.
This role is pretty robust. You’ll dive into Net Interest Income and Economic Value of Equity risk analysis, crafting forecasts that feed into budgets, long-term plans, and stress tests. You’ll develop and document ALM assumptions, back-test results to fine-tune accuracy, and manage software updates—they are on Empyrean, but would also consider QRM, ZM Desk, and Bancware expertise as well. The role is not just number-crunching—you’ll present findings to senior management and regulators with clarity, help the Treasurer further mentor junior analysts to build a tight team, and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act rules. Your work will also drive liquidity stress tests and capital planning, keeping our client bank resilient and ready.
The client is pretty lasered in on what they need. They need a four-year degree—CPA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred—and five-plus years of bank treasury experience, with hands-on ALM expertise using tools like Empyrean, (and aforementioned QRM, ZM, or Bancware). Strong analytical skills are a must, paired with top-notch communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities to juggle deadlines and rally a team.
This is your shot to join a bank that’s all about community and momentum, offering competitive pay, strong benefits, and a culture that values precision and teamwork. If you’ve got the treasury chops and ALM experience, please reach out confidentially. We’d be pleased to discuss how you could make your mark at our client bank.
