HQNW Branch Manager Job Description
Department: Sales & Operations
Reports to: Regional Manager
FLSA Status: hourly or exempt Salary plus Bonuses. Successful branch managers total compensation is in six figure range.
Position Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for all daily aspects of running the branch. This includes ensuring the profitability of the branch and a high level of customer satisfaction. This position develops and maintains strong skills of business development. This is a supervisory position.

Leadership
- Maintain a results-driven leadership approach, leading by example.
- Lead, develop, coach, and motivate branch staff and create a strong team environment.
- Ensure that branch employees always follow the HQNW core values.
- Train and coach all new HQNW employees hired for the branch.
- Schedule and ensure timely meetings with core staff to ensure metric and goals are hit.
- Establish a weekly work schedule for branch employees and submit to area manager.
- Mediate any employee issues using counseling and progressive discipline practices.
- Ensure workers are appropriately dispatched to job sites, customer orders are serviced and filled, and payouts are timely.
- Leading and/or delegating any other duties assigned by the Regional Manager or HQNW Corporate as needed.
Sales
- Start each day by opening the branch office, dispatching, then going out on sales calls, or going on sales and closing branch office.
- 60% of the branch manager duties are sales related and requires achieving sales metrics:
- -Make 20 phone calls per day to potential clients.
- -Spend a minimum of 2 hours per day out on in-person sales calls.
- Build relationships with customer visits.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts by closing additional up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Execute branch sales strategy by sourcing and qualifying new leads, maintaining good KPIs, and pricing and closing orders.
- Find solutions for any staffing issues from customers, and deepen relationships by filling additional roles.
- Conduct customer calls in a timely matter and resolve escalated issues. Involve area manager when needed.
- Demonstrate proficient business acumen to include financial performance and success in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
Operations
- Dispatch temporary employees with clear expectations of site work, client, and behavior.
- Sign out any PPE or equipment for job with temporary employees and ensure their return.
- Mitigate any issues with temporary employees.
- Perform daily and weekly pay outs for temporary employees.
- Submit all billing/invoicing for the branch by close of business on Tuesdays.
- Ensure that certified payroll is completed each week.
- Conduct accounts receivable collection calls starting at day 30.
- Submit billing adjustments to after manager approval when necessary.
- Create a culture of safety by conducting site visits and meetings with customers and temporary employees.
- Seek ways to streamline processes for operational efficiency and excellence and share best practices with the team.
Human Resources:
- Handle all temporary employees unemployment claims in a timely manner and follow policy.
- Handle all workers compensation claims in a timely manner and follow policy.
- Conduct workers compensation investigations.
- Assign pay-cards.
- Recruit temporary employees and coach branch core staff to screen 15 temporary employees per week as a branch.
- Oversee and participate in recruiting for all staffing needs.
- Drive to off-site recruiting events.
- Schedule job fairs and branch employee participation.
Requirements:
- College Degree preferred.
- 3+ years of business or leadership experience.
- 1+ year(s) of professional experience working in sales with proven performance OR the ability and desire to fearlessly build business.
- Clean background and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation, with clean MVR.

Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands
- Non-confined office-type setting and is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a vehicle which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.
