Our client is a respected acute-care hospital in Southern California is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead its 24-hour, high-acuity Emergency Department. Position Summary
The Director of Emergency Services will assume 24-hour administrative and clinical leadership for the Emergency Department. This individual will oversee daily operations, staffing, quality initiatives, and compliance with all regulatory standards while promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading a team of skilled clinicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives in throughput, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
Collaborating with physician leaders and executive administration to ensure operational alignment and optimal resource utilization.
Fostering professional development and engagement across nursing and support teams.
Maintaining readiness for trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies in compliance with state and national standards.
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (or eligibility).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in Emergency or Critical Care Services.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CEN strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading quality improvement initiatives and building cohesive, high-performing teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $155,000 – $195,000 (commensurate with experience).
