Hotel Audiovisual (AV) Manager — Hospitality Division
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Type: Full-time • On-site • Evenings/weekends as needed
Role Summary
Own day-to-day hotel AV operations at a premium property. You’ll run setups/strikes, keep gear healthy, lead a small AV team, and keep clients thrilled—while hitting cost and documentation standards.
What You’ll Do
Operations
- Oversee daily event AV: room turns, setups, strikes, and quick-change flips
- Maintain, track, and inventory equipment; schedule preventative maintenance
- Staff to demand (internal/external labor); control costs and utilization
- Ensure accurate quotes, billing, and event documentation; enforce SOPs
Client & Vendor Relations
- Be the on-site AV point for planners, hotel teams, and VIPs
- Troubleshoot live events and keep shows on time
- Coordinate with vendors/internal teams to protect quality and timelines
Team Leadership
- Hire, schedule, coach, and develop technicians
- Run training to keep the team current on gear and hospitality standards
- Drive a professional, service-first culture
What You’ll Bring (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in live events/hospitality AV
- 3+ years customer-facing hospitality management experience
- 2–3 years hands-on AV setup/operation (audio, video, lighting, switching)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common AV software/workflows
- Valid driver’s license; able to work nights/weekends/holidays as events require
- Experience leading AV at full-service or luxury hotels/convention venues
- Familiarity with Procore/venue scheduling tools and basic budgeting/KPIs
