Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join an established, service-oriented organization with a strong commitment to its people and culture. This role offers hands-on HR experience across recruiting, onboarding, reporting, and employee engagement, with the opportunity to step into a broader leadership role in the future. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Oversee payroll and benefits administration, with the ability to step in when needed.
• Maintain and generate HR-related reports, using technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Support performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations, and compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
• Assist with employee recognition programs, training initiatives, and talent development.
• Partner with managers to understand staffing needs and identify qualified candidates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in human resources
• Passion for HR and eagerness to grow professionally
• Strong technology skills, including HRIS and reporting tools; experience with UKG is highly desirable
• SHRM-CP certification is a plus, or the ability to obtain within the first year of employment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism and integrity
Compensation & Benefits:
Determining compensation for this role depends upon a number of factors, including but not limited to licensure and certification requirements, office location and geographical considerations, and the individual’s skill set, experience, and training.
As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes $65,000–$75,000 to be a reasonable starting base compensation for this role for individuals hired into positions in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
