Position Overview
Reporting to the Process Manager, the Process Shift Supervisor oversees all shift operations related to processing sugar beets and producing sugar. This hands-on leader directs operating personnel across all processing stations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, embraces preventative maintenance, and thrives in an industrial processing environment.

Essential Responsibilities
- Lead by example in promoting a zero-injury safety culture.
- Maintain a clean and safe production environment aligned with site safety plans.
- Plan, organize, and direct shift personnel to optimize processing performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality systems, processes, and procedures.
- Gain and apply working knowledge of sugar beet processing operations.
- Monitor and report production performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with all plant personnel.
- Train and develop employees for specific factory stations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis.
- Utilize KPIs to improve safety, productivity, and quality.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Process Managers to support preventive maintenance.
- Partner with other Shift Supervisors to ensure smooth shift transitions and scheduling.
- Enforce labor agreements and company policies fairly and consistently.
- Spend up to 80% of time on the factory floor providing leadership, feedback, and troubleshooting support.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering preferred (or equivalent supervisory experience in processing).
- 5β10 years of process or manufacturing experience preferred (Sugarbeet or sugar refining experience a plus).
- Demonstrated success improving safety, productivity, and quality.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with all levels of staff.
- Willingness to learn Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Independent, organized, analytical, and results-driven.
