This is one of the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare systems in Texas! I have placed with this system several times and can tell you about their financial viability, their culture, and their constant aim towards excellent patient care.
The Director of Government Payment Programs will provide strategic, operational, and analytic leadership for participation in government sponsored healthcare programs across the clinically integrated network, including voluntary and mandatory models as well as government managed care. This leader serves as the key link between regulatory agencies, payer partners, and network providers, translating complex program requirements into strategies that strengthen value, efficiency, and clinical integration. This person will report to the Senior Director of Strategy and Alignment, who has been with the system for almost nine years!
This role will lead long range strategy and performance for government payment programs, overseeing more than $4 billion in annual claims expenditures and guiding participation recommendations to executive leadership. The Director also evaluates emerging federal and state payment models, leads senior leaders through complex and politically sensitive decisions, and adjusts strategy based on outcomes and stakeholder alignment.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation to live in the market the system is located in. This person will need to report to the office at least twice a week.
