We have partnered with one of the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare systems in Texas to find them an Entity Compliance and Privacy Officer.
This Officer will have oversight of two hospitals within the system and work on a hybrid schedule (must live within the market). This person will serve as Chair of the Entity Compliance and Privacy Committee and partner closely with senior leadership, the Board of Trustees, and hospital staff to promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior.
The ideal candidate will develop and implement educational programs on compliance and privacy and have the ability to execute new standards of operation. This position also provides guidance on the Code of Business Ethics, coordinates privacy initiatives with the Privacy Officer, and leads hospital teams through audits and other compliance-related activities.
This person will report to the System Director of Compliance, who is looking for someone who proactively shares knowledge, has a positive mindset, and who has strong communication skills. They also need to be able to lean into challenging conversations with leaders, justifying compliance and privacy decisions with research-backed data that can tell a story as to why that decision was made.
The salary midpoint for this role is 145k with a swing on either side based on years of experience and education.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree required
- CHC strongly preferred upon hire and is required within 12 months of start date.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance and privacy with expertise in revenue cycle and reimbursement for federally funded programs and private payers required.
- Multi Hospital Health System Compliance Experience required.
