The Payroll Analyst supports the accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls across multiple entities. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience using ADP Workforce Now.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process multi-company weekly and biweekly payrolls in accordance with deadlines
- Verify timesheets and payroll data for accuracy; resolve discrepancies with managers
- Review new hires, terminations, and employee changes for payroll accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve ADP-related issues; process manual checks and corrections
- Generate payroll reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, year-end)
- Upload pension, union, and benefits files (e.g., Transit/FSA)
- Train users on ADP Time & Attendance system
- Prepare and upload payroll journal entries and allocations to accounting system
- Support cash flow tracking, contract claims, financial reporting, and audits
- Perform reconciliations between ADP and accounting systems
- Ensure compliance with tax filings and wage reporting
- Provide excellent support to employees and HR on payroll-related questions
- Participate in special projects and support senior management as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–3 years of payroll experience (nonprofit and/or union payroll preferred)
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Team-oriented with a professional and customer-focused approach
