- 25 FTE coding and abstracting team that supports a hospital delivering complex care
- 1 Direct report – Coding Operations Manager
- 95% coding accuracy
- $6.3B in annual charges across the system
- Reports to the HIM/CDI Director who has been with the organization for many years

What They Truly Need
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience within a similar-sized facility; 5+ years strongly preferred
- 5 years of ICD-9 CM, ICD-10 CM/PCS, and CPT-4 coding experience
- Inpatient experience is required, outpatient experience strongly preferred
- Optum and Epic experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of DRG, APC, CPT/HCPCS
- Bachelor’s degree in medical records or related field preferred
You will manage daily operations while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and alignment with broader Quality and CDI goals.

Compensation: $115K–$120K, higher considered for exceptional experience. Annual bonus potential and relocation assistance.
