Overview
This is a highly confidential leadership opportunity with a well-established regional healthcare organization known for its patient-centered culture and dedication to clinical excellence. The Director will oversee both Intensive Care and Medical-Surgical departments, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and staff engagement. (21 Beds)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the ICU and Med-Surg units, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and hospital executives to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and capital equipment planning.
- Establish and maintain clinical and operational policies that support regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor nursing and support staff, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Lead continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and team performance.
- Serve as a clinical and managerial resource for multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital.
- Oversee staff education, orientation, and performance management processes to ensure clinical competence and engagement.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience within acute care (ICU and/or Med-Surg) required.
- Active RN license in the state of employment required.
- Current BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing budgets, staffing models, and clinical operations.
- Proven ability to lead teams through change, improve outcomes, and foster strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
