A global specialty chemicals company with nearly a century of innovation is looking for a hands-on scientist ready to take the next step into leadership. This role sits within the New Technology team in R&D, focused on identifying and building breakthrough ideas that will shape the company's long-term future.
You will lead a team of 4 scientists and technicians while driving your own research in advanced materials and next-generation technologies.
What You Will Do
- Lead hands-on research in advanced materials and emerging technologies
- Guide and mentor a small team of scientists and technicians
- Develop new ideas with long-term business impact
- Collaborate across product development, manufacturing, and business teams
- Contribute to global innovation efforts
What You Bring
- Ph.D. in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 to 8 years of industry or applied research experience
- Creative problem-solver with strong technical communication skills
- Genuine interest in mentoring and developing others
- Background in adhesives, coatings, sealants, or polymers a plus
- Track record of innovation through patents, products, or publications a plus
Compensation and Benefits
- $100,000 - $130,000 base salary
- 8% annual bonus
