Are you a skilled Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist looking to join a growing, patient-focused practice specializing in prosthetics and pediatric orthotics in Central Alabama? Our client is seeking an experienced CPO to provide high-quality care across a diverse patient population, helping individuals regain mobility, confidence, and independence at every stage of life.
About the Practice
This locally operated clinic is dedicated to delivering individualized care and advanced solutions in both prosthetics and pediatric orthotics. The team is committed to blending clinical expertise with compassionate service, ensuring every patient and family receives a solution tailored to their unique needs.
Position Overview
As a CPO, you will evaluate, design, and fit both prosthetic devices and pediatric orthotic solutions, working directly with patients and families to improve function and quality of life. You will also collaborate with other clinical and support staff to maintain the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and assess patients for both prosthetic and pediatric orthotic needs
• Design, fabricate, and fit prosthetic devices and custom orthoses for pediatric patients
• Provide adjustments and follow-up care to optimize function and outcomes
• Educate patients and families on device use, wear schedules, and maintenance
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with regulations
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth patient care and operational efficiency
Qualifications
• Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) credential required
• Proven experience in prosthetic care and familiarity or interest in pediatric orthotics
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially working with children and families
• Dedication to patient-centered care and long-term outcomes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
