About the Role
As an O&P Technician, you’ll play an essential role in supporting clinicians and the care team by fabricating, modifying, and maintaining high-quality orthotic and prosthetic devices according to individualized specifications. You’ll work directly in the fabrication environment and contribute to a mission focused on enhancing patient outcomes and mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom orthotic and prosthetic devices based on clinician specifications, using a variety of materials and fabrication techniques.
- Assist clinicians with adjustments, fitting preparation, and fine-tuning of devices to ensure comfort, function, and fit.
- Perform routine maintenance and structural repairs on orthotic and prosthetic devices as needed.
- Operate and maintain fabrication tools, machinery, and workspaces while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain organized documentation of work orders, production schedules, materials, and inventory.
- Ensure lab cleanliness and compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication, technical trades, or related mechanical work preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to precision and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a patient-focused clinical team.
- Comfortable operating fabrication tools and equipment in a dynamic environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training or certification is a plus.
