We’re partnered with a well-established community bank that’s seeking a hands-on accounting professional to support daily financial operations and contribute to internal and regulatory reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the bank’s accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and submit financial reports; compile, maintain, and distribute various internal reports
- Track financial information daily to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Review Accounts Payable and reconcile to the General Ledger
- Reconcile and prove Operations Account statements
- Maintain prepaid accounts and related schedules
- Prove the Federal Reserve statement daily
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, identifying long-term solutions
- Maintain Interest Rate Risk (IRR) data and reporting
- Prepare various reports and analyses for management
- Assist with regulatory reporting under the direction of the Controller
- Prepare quarterly financial statements
- Assist in preparation of the annual report and IRR reporting
- Assemble reports and prepare minutes for internal committees
- Collaborate with management to enhance processes, workflows, and internal controls
- Interact with external auditors, examiners, and consultants as needed
- Ensure adherence to all banking regulations, policies, and compliance standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development (webinars, seminars, conferences)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business required
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience, preferably within a financial institution
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Exposure to regulatory reporting is preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact across departments
