Chief Financial Officer

A mission-driven healthcare organization in California is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team during an important time of transformation.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned healthcare finance executive who understands the complexities of managed care, Medi-Cal, Medicare/Medicaid, and government-sponsored health programs. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will provide strategic financial leadership while strengthening financial operations, controls, reporting, and long-term fiscal performance.

The organization is looking for a leader who is comfortable stepping into a complex environment, digging into the numbers, asking the right questions, and helping build a stronger financial foundation for the future.

A Few Highlights:

• Report directly to the CEO and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team
• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting, and internal controls
• Oversee Finance, Claims, Procurement, and other key operational functions
• Provide financial oversight of capitation, risk arrangements, IBNR, government contracts, audits, and regulatory compliance
• Partner with leadership to strengthen financial performance, improve processes, and guide the organization through financial transformation

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

• Previous Chief Financial Officer experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong healthcare finance leadership experience, including GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, audits, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with Medi-Cal or other government-sponsored healthcare programs
• Proven ability to navigate complex financial environments and lead financial improvement

Preferred:

• Health plan / managed care experience strongly preferred
• Master’s degree and/or CPA
• Collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategy and day-to-day operations
