We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to lead payroll processing, ensure compliance, and support finance operations. This role plays a key part in delivering accurate, timely payroll while optimizing systems and improving internal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
- Reconcile payroll master file and track employee reimbursements (Navan)
- Manage onboarding/offboarding payroll data and respond to employee inquiries
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and assist with audits and 401(k) reporting
- Maintain accurate digital records and coordinate with external providers (e.g., ADP)
- Record payroll-related journal entries and support month-end close activities
- Monitor grant allocations and assist with grant reporting
- Identify process improvements and assist with system optimization (NetSuite, ADP)
- Prepare periodic reconciliations and ad-hoc payroll/finance reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years of payroll processing for 50+ employees
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, NetSuite (or similar), Excel, and Google Sheets
- Strong organization, communication, and process improvement skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative team player
