Our client is looking to add Staff Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will come with at least 2-3 years' experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting, preferably for an asset management firm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements with supporting analyses.
- Assist with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist with the year-end audit and tax filings.
- General ledger maintenance.
- Assist with preparing ad-hoc reports for senior management and headquarters.
- Research and resolve account reconciling items.
- Assist with the alternative investments reporting process.
- Assist with both accounts payable and receivables.
- Assist with cash management and reporting process.
- Support other team members as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- CPA license or all exam parts passed preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
- Audit and consolidation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of management fee calculations preferred.
- Must be highly detail oriented and organized.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize results.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel.
- Must be proactive and take initiative.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
