The Newell Group is conducting a search on behalf of an established prosthetics and orthotics practice in Bronx, NY. Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Prosthetist / Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CP/CPO) to join their clinical team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Position Overview
This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-respected clinical environment delivering comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic services. The CP/CPO will be responsible for patient evaluation, device design, fitting, follow-up care, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, measurements, fittings, and follow-up visits for prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and rehabilitation professionals.
- Educate patients and caregivers on device use, care, and rehabilitation expectations.
- Participate in fabrication oversight, adjustments, and modifications as needed.
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.
- Uphold best practices in patient care and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Prosthetist (CP) or Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) credential required.
- 5+ years of direct clinical experience preferred
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative care team.
- Experience with a broad range of orthotic and prosthetic technologies.
